Finding the Time

I am often asked when I find the time to write by people who know me well.

I’ll give you a peek in if you don’t know me well, but would like to: I have a full time job as a technician and MA for a doctor’s office, I’m going back to school to be an NP, I have 2 beautiful little girls to take care of, a wonderful husband, a garden, a girl puppy named LeeLoo, a boy kitty named Asimov, I’m the lead singer for Gravity Giving In, I’m a published poet and an author.

Want to know my dirty little secret?

One word: prioritize.

Life isn’t perfect. I don’t give each aspect of my life equal amounts of attention–that’s impossible. I do manage my time well, make goals and carry them out.

Writing is a stress reliever for me. It’s a priority. So, when I have free time, I write. If it wasn’t a priority, I wouldn’t do it.

So, there you have it. If you have something you want to do, make it a priority and get it done. Don’t tell yourself if (insert circumstance) happens then you’ll write/edit/publish–it’ll never happen.

How Did I Get Here?

I arrived at WordPress due to the raving reviews of bloggers who used it and love it, and fans of my book who are very annoyed with me for not being in one place.

So, here I am.

Please feel free to encourage, berate, befriend and cajole at your own pace and in your own way.

I certainly don’t mind.

And if you’re not someone who reads my books, feel free to just hang out at your appropriate level of enthusiasm.

I’m down for whatever.
